CHAPTER 1: THE MEASURE OF FAITH (DIVINE FAITH AND HEARING THE WORD).

 “…Faith cometh (is activated or influenced) by HEARING… the WORD of God…” (Roman 10:17 KJV).

1. “…Faith cometh (is activated or influenced) by HEARING… the WORD of God…” (Roman 10:17 KJV). The Spirit of FAITH COMES when it hears the WORD of God. The WORD of God activates and empowers the indwelling Spirit of FAITH.

Which faith COMES when it HEARS the WORD of God? “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…The fruit of the Spirit… is…FAITH…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV).  “…God has allotted to each a measure of faith…” (Romans 12:3 NASB).

HOW DID YOU GET THE FAITH? “…God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son “INTO” [YOUR]… HEARTS…” (Galatians 4:6 NASB). “…God has given [you] HIS Spirit as PROOF that … [his FAITH dwells]…in [you]…” (1 John 4:13 NLT).

WHO SUPPLIES THIS FAITH? “[God’s] …Holy Spirit …is the SOURCE [of it ALL]…” (1 Corinthians 12: 4-11 NLT). “…A man can receive nothing, except it BE GIVEN him from heaven…” (John 3:27 KJV). “…[God’s]… divine power hath GIVEN unto …[his people]… “ALL” THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness…” (2 Peter 1:3 KJV). “…Every good GIFT and every perfect GIFT is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights…” (James 1:17 KJV).  “…I will supply all your NEED…” (Philippians 4:19 KJV).  “ …Your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things…” (Matthew 6 KJV). “…And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others…” (2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT). “…The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want…” (Psalms 23 KJV). “…God will supply all your [need]… according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (the WORD)…” (Philippians 4:19 NASB).

 “…The LORD SHALL GIVE that which is good…” (Psalms 85:12 KJV). “…What do you have that God hasn’t given you? (1 Corinthians 4:7 NLT).

WHERE IS THAT FAITH RIGHT NOW? “ … [You] … have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the [indwelling]…POWER may be of God, and not of us...” (2 Corinthians 4:6-7 KJV). “…Know ye not your own selves …that Jesus Christ is in you…” (2 Corinthians KJV). “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16 KJV). “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” (1 Corinthians 6:19 KJV). “…God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people” (2 Corinthians 6:16 KJV). “… We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves…” (2 Corinthians 4:7 NLT). God said: “…I will put a new spirit in you . …” (Ezekiel 36:26 NLT). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV).  “…The Spirit of God dwell[s]… in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV).

ARE YOU EQUIP WITH THAT FAITH RIGHT NOW? ^“…That great Shepherd of the sheep, EQUIP (empower) you with everything good for doing his will…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). ^“…That great Shepherd of the sheep, …may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV).

WHO WILL DO THE WORK OF FAITH  “in” “through” AND “for” YOU? “…The Father that dwelleth in [them] … he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).   “… It is God who worketh in [them]…” (Philippians 2:13 KJV).  “… It is …God who does the work IN AND THROUGH all of us who are his… The HOLY SPIRIT DISPLAYS God’s power THROUGH each of us...” (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT). “… Jesus answered, and said…This is the work of God: that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” (John 6:29 KJV).“… THE GOD WHO WORKS ALL THINGS IN ALL PERSONS…” (1 CORINTHIANS 12:6 NASB). “…IT IS THE SAME GOD WHICH WORKETH ALL IN ALL…” (1 CORINTHIANS 12:6 KJV).

IF GOD IS DOING THE WORK IN, THROUGH AND FOR YOU WHAT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILTY?

“…Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding…” (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV).  “…[Choose to rely on] the Lord with all thine heart …” (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV). “… [choose “not” to lean] unto thine own understanding…” (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV).  “ … [Choose to aknowledge him in all thy ways], and he shall direct thy paths…” (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV). “…The steps of a good man are ordered (directed) by the Lord: …” (Psalms 37:23 KJV).

“…God is … kind ... He is …kind to you if you continue to trust in (depend upon) his kindness. But if you stop trusting (depending upon him), you …will be cut off…” (Romans 11:22 NLT). “…Even when there was no reason for hope (DEPEND), Abraham kept hoping (DEPENDING UPON HIM)—believing…!" (Romans 4:18 NLT).

CAN YOU TRUST OR DEPEND UPON GOD. IS GOD RELIABLE? “…[I am]… the one who provides …” (2 Corinthians 9:10-13 KJV). “… God will supply all [your need]…” (Philippians 4:19 NASB). “… [God] … will keep in perfect peace all who trust in … [him] …” (Isaiah 26:3 NLT). “….[I AM]… [YOUR]… shepherd ….” (PSALM 23:1-3 NLT). “…[I AM]… [YOUR]… rock and [YOUR]… fortress and [YOUR]…deliverer, [YOUR]… GOD, [YOUR]… rock, in whom [YOU]… take refuge; [YOUR]… shield and the horn of [YOUR]… salvation, [YOUR]… stronghold.…" (Psalms 18:3 NASB). “…I AM WITH… [YOU] and  … I WILL NOT LEAVE [YOU] …." (Genesis 28:15 ASV).

HEBREWS 11:1“ … FAITH (part “OF” the Holy Spirit) IS the substance (guarantee) of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen…” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV). THE HOLY SPIRIT WAKES UP OR COMES TO FULL ATTENTION; READY TO DO WHATEVER IT HEARS GOD COMMAND THROUGH HIS WORD. The indwelling Spirit of FAITH is activated and empowered TO DO EXACTLY what is commanded by God and spoken by Jesus, the WORD!!! BECAUSE THE INDWELLING HOLY SPIRIT IS ACTIVATED IT WILL ALSO EMPOWERED YOU WILL HOPE OR EXPECTANCY AT THE SAME TIME. “…You will abound in HOPE by the power of the Holy Spirit…” (Romans 15:13 NASB). “…I pray that God, the source of HOPE, will fill you completely.... Then you will overflow with confident HOPE through the power of the Holy Spirit…” (Romans 15:13 NLT). “…FAITH (HOPEING IN, DEPENDING UPON HIM) COMETH BY HEARING, and hearing by the word of God…” (Roman 10:17 KJV).

THE MAGNIFICENT “WORD” OF GOD?  JESUS, “is” the LIVING, SPOKEN POWER, and DEMONSTRATIVE WORD of God to mankind. “…the Word (Jesus) was made FLESH, dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten (specially created) from the Father, full of grace and truth....” (JOHN 1:14 KJV).

 “….The WORD was made flesh….” (John 1:14 KJV). The WORD is also understood by the term logos, which means communication from God to mankind straight from his heart. “…The only begotten (special and supernaturally created) Son (the WORD), which is in the bosom (secret, intimate place; heart) of the Father, he hath declared (explained, revealed, or communicated for) him…” (John 1:18 KJV).

 The WORD CAME clothed in FLESH and communicated a MESSAGE of LOVE directly from GOD. “….The WORD was made flesh….” (John 1:14 KJV).

It wasn’t JESUS’ FLESH that made him the WORD IT WAS THE INDWELLING  HOLY SPIRIT. …GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and WITH POWER: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for GOD WAS WITH HIM. And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem…” (Acts 10:38-39 KJV).

It was the HOLY SPIRIT  WITHIN the FLESH that GAVE Jesus THE POWER“…God is Spirit …” (John 4:24 KJV). Jesus SAID:  “…I do nothing of myself…” (John 8:28 KJV). “…the Father (God, the Father, is Spirit) that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

JESUS, the WORD, wrapped in human FLESH, served as a MOUTHPIECE for God’s communication to mankind. “….The WORD was made flesh….” (John 1:14 KJV). . “…THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK unto you, they ARE SPIRIT…” (John 6:63 KJV) “…God is Spirit …” (John 4:24 KJV).

Listening to God’s words through Jesus is similar to listening to a person’s words through a radio.

God’s words came through human flesh and the disc jockey’s words came through a radio.

If the radio suddenly became like a human flesh, but continued to deliver the disc jockeys words it would be similar to the way JESUS delivered God’s words to humanity.

The WORDS you hear through the radio is “that” disc jockey’s actual words.

The WORDS you hear through Jesus is God’s actual words. Words also means message, speech, or communication. “….The WORD was made flesh….” (John 1:14 KJV).

What was the importance of SENDING the WORD through JESUS? The bible SAYS: “…THERE ARE THREE that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and THESE THREE ARE ONE  “…THERE IS NO GOD, BUT ONE…” (1 Corinthians 8:4 KJV).

REMEMBER LAST MONTH I USED THIS EXAMPLE: “…Then God SAID, “Let there be light”; AND THERE WAS LIGHT…” (Genesis 1:3 NASB).

1.     “…Then God SAID (God commanded );

2.     “Let there be light” (Jesus, the Word, spoke his command);

3.     AND THERE WAS LIGHT (The Holy Spirit did what was spoken and commanded)…” (Genesis 1:3 NASB).

4.     There is ONE God. These three FEATURES of God are working rapidly and simultaneously together. We are looking at in VERY slow motion. The Holy SPIRIT DOES what Jesus, the Word SPEAKS and God COMMANDS

God commands. Jesus speaks. The invisible, unseen servant, the Holy Spirit, does the work.

“….The WORD was made flesh….” (John 1:14 KJV). Jesus, the WORD, made flesh, SPEAKS God’s command, and the HOLY SPIRIT “DOES” what is SPOKEN and COMMANDED.

God is the FATHER. Jesus is the WORD of the father. The Holy Spirit is the POWER of the father. “…THESE THREE ARE ONE (nonetheless, ALL are the FATHER).…” (1 JOHN 5:6-8 KJV).

You HAVE YOUR thoughts. You CAN SPEAK your words. AND YOU DO YOUR OWN actions. These ALL FEATURESs of the “same” person.

“…the Father, the Word, and the Holy [SPIRIT]…” (1 Corinthians 8:4 KJV). Jesus is at the CENTER, between God, the Father, and God, the Holy Spirit.

The CENTER is the most important position because it is the SOURCE from which ALL else originates. THE FATHER SENDS COMMAND TO THE WORD. THE HOLY SPIRIT DOES WHAT THE WORD SPEAKS. THE WORD RECEIVES FROM THE FATHER AND ACTIVITES THE HOLY SPIRIT “…In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being … (John 1:1-4 NASB).

The CENTER, which is the WORD, is the SOURCE of POWER, INFLUENCE,  ANDACTIVITY. “… All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being … (John 1:1-4 NASB).

Thus, the FATHER’s (God) WORD (Jesus) “is” POWER (Holy Spirit) and they are ONE. “…THERE ARE THREE that bear record in heaven, the Father (GOD), the Word (JESUS), and the Holy Ghost (POWER): and THESE THREE ARE ONE.…” (1 JOHN 5:6-8 KJV).

“… THESE THREE ARE ONE.…” (1 JOHN 5:6-8 KJV). Breaking the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit down into pieces is like looking at them in very, very slow motion, but they are working together as ONE; fast, quick, immediately, and simultaneously. “…Then God SAID, “Let there be light”; AND THERE WAS LIGHT…” (Genesis 1:3 NASB).

Your mind, words, and actions have different names and functions, but they are often working together, simultaneously, as ONE (walk, run, sit, stand, eat, sleep, LISTEN etc.). “…The Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and THESE THREE ARE ONE.…” (1 JOHN 5:6-8 KJV).

The WORD is the Father’s command, he speaks it through Jesus, and does the WORK through the Holy Spirit. “…the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

Your mind makes commands, which impact the words you speak, and influences THE ACTIONS YOU TAKE. Your actions do what is commanded or spoken by your thoughts. “…as [A MAN OR WOMAN] THINKETH within his (or her) heart (where the thoughts), so is he [OR SHE] (actions)…” (Proverbs 23:7 KJV).

The HOLY SPIRIT “DOES” - what God commands and Jesus, the WORD SPEAKS - “EVERY” single time!! “…I change NOT…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).  

 “ … MY WORD … SHALL ACCOMPLISH (through the WORK of the Holy Spirit) that which I please, and it SHALL PROSPER (through the WORK of the Holy Spirit) in the thing whereto I sent it…” (Isaiah 55:11 KJV). God says, I “…am WATCHING over my word to PERFORM it (through the WORK of the Holy Spirit)…” (Jeremiah 1:12 NASB).

REMEMBER Ezekiel 37 you can CLEARLY “SEE” how GOD COMMANDS, HIS WORD SPEAKS, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT DOES what IS COMMANDED AND SPOKEN. “…Prophesy (God commands), [Ezekiel’s mouth is being utilized]… and say to them (Speak the WORD). This is what the Sovereign Lord says…” (Ezekiel 37 NIV).

God commanded Ezekiel to SPEAK THIS WORD: “ ‘My people …I will PUT my SPIRIT in you and you will LIVE …Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord...’” (Ezekiel 37 NIV).

“…As [Ezekiel]… was prophesying (SPEAKING GOD’S WORD as he was commanded), there was a noise (The Holy Spirit started DOING WORK immediately), a rattling sound, and THE BONES CAME TOGETHER, BONE TO BONE. [Ezekiel]… LOOKED, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them …[then]… they came to LIFE and STOOD UP on their feet—a vast army… I HAVE DONE IT, declares the Lord…’” (Ezekiel 37 NIV).

“…I HAVE DONE IT, declares the Lord…’” (Ezekiel 37 NIV). “…the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). The FATHER’s WORD “is” POWER and they are ONE. “…THERE ARE THREE that bear record in heaven, the Father (GOD), the Word (JESUS), and the Holy Ghost (POWER): and THESE THREE ARE ONE.…” (1 JOHN 5:6-8 KJV).

The POWER of GOD’s WORD … is CLEARLY SEEN in EZEKIEL.  “…Since the creation of the world God’s INVISIBLE QUALITIES—have been CLEARLY SEEN, being UNDERSTOOD FROM WHAT HAS BEEN MADE …” (Romans 1:20 NIV). “… [THE BONES] …came to LIFE…’” (Ezekiel 37 NIV). “ … they … STOOD UP on their feet—a vast army... I HAVE DONE IT, declares the Lord…’” (Ezekiel 37 NIV).

 “…  THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE WAS FORMED at God’s command … what we now SEE (the whole world) did not come from anything that can be SEEN (the WORK of the Holy Spirit)…” (Hebrews 11:3 NLT). “…BY THE WORD  (God’s commands,) of the Lord (jesus, the word) the heavens were made (the WORK of the Holy Spirit), And by the breath of His mouth all their host…” (Psalms 33:6 NASB).

JESUS, the WORD, WHILE ON EARTH AND IN HUMAN FLESH DEPENDED UPON “GOD”S COMMANDS” and THE “WORKS” of GOD’S  HOLY SPIRIT. “…God anointed (empowered) Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and POWER, and …he went around doing good and healing all ….because God was with him…” (Acts 10:38 NIV). “…the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

God anointed others “WITH” the Holy Spirit and POWER too. “…Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and POWER (the indwelling Spirit and worker of ALL God’s ability), performed great wonders and signs among the people…” (Acts 6:8 NIV).  “…God did extraordinary MIRACLES (by the indwelling Holy Spirit and worker of ALL God’s ability) through Paul…” (Acts 19:11 NIV). “…I persevered in demonstrating among you the marks of a true apostle, including signs, wonders and MIRACLES (by the WORK of the Holy Spirit and worker of ALL God’s ability)…” (2 Corinthians 12:12 NIV). “…the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

“…Now God GIVES US many kinds of special abilities, but it is the same HOLY SPIRIT who is the SOURCE of them all. …it is the same God who does the work IN and THROUGH all of us who are his. The HOLY SPIRIT (the worker of God’s abilities) DISPLAYS God’s power (ALL God’s ABILITY) THROUGH each of us … It is the same and only Holy Spirit who gives all these gifts and POWERS… (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT).

“…I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27 KJV).

ARE YOU ALSO ANOINTED WITH GOD’S POWER AND INDWELLING HOLY SPIRIT? YES. HOW? ^“…That great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work “IN US” what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…It is God which worketh IN YOU both to will and to do of his good pleasure…” (Philippians 2:13 KJV). “…the Father that dwelleth in [YOU], he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

God would NOT command and Jesus would NOT speak WITHOUT complete faith and absolute confidence that the Holy Spirit would do the WORK. “…God is not human “…God is Spirit …Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill…” (Numbers 23:19 NIV & John 4:24 KJV)? “…Not one of all the LORD's good promises … failed; every one was fulfilled” (Joshua 21:45 NIV). “…My counsel (WORD)… SHALL stand, and I will do all my pleasure…” (Isaiah 46:10 KJV).

In Genesis 1:13 the Father’s WORD is witnessed in the POWERFUL work of the Holy Spirit. “…Then God SAID, “Let there be light”; AND THERE WAS LIGHT…” (Genesis 1:3 NASB).

1. “…Then God SAID (God commands with complete DEPENDENCY and absolute confidence in his OWN word). 2. “Let there be light” (Jesus, the Word speaks with complete DEPENDENCY and absolute confidence in God’s COMMANDS). 3.  AND THERE WAS LIGHT (The Holy Spirit does the WORK with complete DEPENDENCY and absolute confidence in what was commanded and spoken)…” (Genesis 1:3 NASB).

God has complete, immutable DEPENDENCY and absolute, unwavering confidence in his OWN WORD. “…MY WORD be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it SHALL NOT return unto me void, but it SHALL ACCOMPLISH that which I please, and it SHALL PROSPER in the thing whereto I sent it…” (Isaiah 55:11 KJV). God says, I “…am WATCHING over my word to PERFORM it…” (Jeremiah 1:12 NASB).

The WORD is the ORIGIN of EVERYTHING that is made or created. The WORD is the CENTER point in which EVERYTHING else begins from God’s command. “…  THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE WAS FORMED at God’s command … what we now SEE (the whole universe) did not come from anything that can be SEEN (the WORK of the Holy Spirit)…” (Hebrews 11:3 NLT).

It is no wonder “JESUS” HAD ANOTHER NAME. WHAT WAS IT? “… He (Jesus) had a name written, that no man knew … his name is called The Word of God…” (Revelation 19:12-13 NASB).

JESUS’ “IS” the WORD. The WORD stems from God’s command and is the CORE SOURCE of EVERY ACTIVITY SEEN or DONE in ALL the universe. “… at God’s command … what we now SEE (everything SEEN and DONE) did not come from anything that can be SEEN (the WORK of the Holy Spirit)…” (Hebrews 11:3 NLT). “… He (Jesus) had a name written, that no man knew … his name is called The Word of God…” (Revelation 19:12-13 NASB).

The WORD of God influences “ALL” ACTIONS and ACTIVITIES. For instance the WORD influences FAITH.  “…Faith cometh (is activated or influenced) by HEARING… the WORD of God…” (Roman 10:17 KJV).

FAITH RESPONDS to the WORD because it is “OF” the HOLY SPIRIT, who DOETH the WORK that is spoken by Jesus and commanded by God“…GOD (the Father) IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…The Lord (the Word) is that Spirit…” (2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV).   “…The Spirit of God (the worker of ALL God’s ability) dwell[s] in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV).  . “…the fruit of the Spirit is …  faith …” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). “…Jesus Christ (the Father’s WORD, which is power;) is in you…” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV).

FAITH is part “OF” THE HOLY SPIRIT – that DOETH God’s work - and is “IN” you!! “ … FAITH (part “OF” the Holy Spirit) IS the substance (guarantee) of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen…” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV).

The FAITH that is part “OF” the Holy Spirit and is NOW in you “STILL” “DOES” what it HEARS Jesus SPEAK and God COMMAND. Guaranteed!

Therefore, “… [The indwelling Spirit of] Faith (“OF” the Holy Spirit) cometh (is activated, influenced) by HEARING… the WORD of God…” (Roman 10:17 KJV).

THE FATHER’S WORD IS POWER. FAITH that is part “OF” the indwelling Holy Spirit BECOMES immediately active, in your life, by HEARING THE WORD of God. “…you will abound in HOPE by the power of the Holy Spirit…” (Romans 15:13 NASB). “…I pray that God, the source of HOPE, will fill you completely.... Then you will overflow with confident HOPE through the power of the Holy Spirit…” (Romans 15:13 NLT).

FAITH that is part “OF” the Holy Spirit RESPONDS to AND DEPENDS UPON GOD’s WORD to WORK or become activated. “…Faith cometh (is activated, is influenced, WORKS) by HEARING… the WORD of God…” (Roman 10:17 KJV).  “….Apart from [the indwelling SPIRIT] you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV). “…the Father that dwelleth in [you] (the indwelling Holy Spirit), he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

God “…dealt (GAVE) to every man (believer) the measure of faith...” (Romans 12:3 KJV). Thus, God gives you a measure of his OWN faith. “…God … sent forth the Spirit of His Son “INTO” [Y]OUR HEARTS…” (Galatians 4:6 NASB).

Further, ^“…God… works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose…” (Philippians 2:13 NIV). “….Apart from Me (the indwelling Holy Spirit), you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).

IT IS THE FATHER’S HOLY SPIRIT (servant WORKER of ALL his ability) that “… is able TO DO exceeding abundantly ABOVE all that we ask or think…” (Ephesians 3:20 KJV). “…he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

IT IS THE FATHER’S HOLY SPIRIT (servant WORKER of ALL his ability) that makes “…the things which are impossible with men … POSSIBLE …” (Luke 18:27 KJV). 

IT IS THE FATHER’S HOLY SPIRIT (servant WORKER of ALL his ability) that CAN DO ANYTHING!! “…I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27 KJV).

However, IT IS THE FATHER’S WORD (JESUS), from God’s command, THAT “IS” the CENTRAL SOURCE of EVERY ACTIVITY (work of the Holy Spirit) in ALL the universe. “…  THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE WAS FORMED at God’s command … what we now SEE (the whole universe) did not come from anything that can be SEEN (the WORK of the Holy Spirit)…” (Hebrews 11:3 NLT).

Therefore, HIS WORDS ARE COMPLETELY TRUSTWORTHY. “…All your commands are TRUSTWORTHY…” (PSALM 119:86 NLT). “…This hope is a strong and TRUSTWORTHY anchor for our souls…” (HEBREWS 6:19 NLT). “Everything you have heard … is TRUSTWORTHY and true…” (REVELATION 22:6 NLT).

HIS WORD WON’T EVER DISAPPOINT. “…the Scripture says, "WHOEVER [accepts, relies, and depends upon] HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED…" (ROMANS 10:11 NASB). “…In You they trusted and WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED…. (PSALMS 22:5 NASB).

 THEREFORE, YOU CAN“…Trust in the Lord (the WORD, jesus) with all thine heart…” (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV).  “…The LORD (the WORD, Jesus) “WILL” accomplish (take care of)…that which concerns [you]…” (John 14:31 NASB). “...Casting all your care upon him (the WORD, Jesus); for he careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7 KJV).   “…All he does is just and good, and all his commandments are TRUSTWORTHY….” (PSALMS 111:7 NLT).

For example, God told Abraham he would have a son at 90+ years old and from that son he would make him a GREAT nation. “…Abraham believed God…” (James 2:18-24 NIV).

“And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will make my covenant between me and thee…” (Genesis 17 KJV). “…And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing. ^…And in thee SHALL ALL FAMILIES of the earth be blessed…” (Genesis 12:2-3 KJV).

However, God told him to sacrifice his only son on the altar. If Abraham sacrifices his son on the altar, how will he become a GREAT nation? After all, he is already past 99 years old. Well, “…Abraham believed God[‘s WORD]…” (James 2:18-24 NIV)..

“…It was BY FAITH (the WORK of the Holy Spirit) that ABRAHAM OFFERED UP ISAAC as a sacrifice when God was testing him. Abraham, who had received God’s promises, was ready to sacrifice his only son, Isaac, even though God had told him, “Isaac is the son through whom your descendants will be counted.”  Abraham reasoned that if Isaac died, God was able to bring him back to life again. And in a sense, Abraham did receive his son back from the dead…” (Hebrews 11 NLT)

“…Abraham believed (also stems from the WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT) God…” (James 2:18-24 NIV). “….Apart from Me (the indwelling Holy Spirit), you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV). “…[God] is able TO DO exceeding abundantly ABOVE all that we ask or think…” (Ephesians 3:20 KJV). “…he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). “…The things which are impossible with men … POSSIBLE [with God] …” (Luke 18:27 KJV).   “…The God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27 KJV).

Thus, “…Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping--believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, "That's how many descendants you will have!" (Romans 4:18 NLT).

To this day, everyone who has faith in God’s WORD, like Abraham did, is considered Abraham’s seed. “…Understand, then, that those who HAVE FAITH (the indwelling Spirit of FAITH) ARE children of Abraham. Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” So those who RELY ON FAITH (the indwelling Spirit) are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith (through the work of the Holy Spirit)…” (Galatians 3: 7-9 NIV).

Abraham demonstrated unwavering faith in God. “…Abraham [was empowered, through the work of the Holy Spirit to believe God‘s WORD]…” (James 2:18-24 NIV). Because of the power of the Holy Spirit “…even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing..." (Romans 4:18 NLT).

Abraham was empowered to believe that even if he had to sacrifice his only son that God’s WORD was so POWERFUL that he would STILL be able to make him a GREAT nation through Isaac. “…Abraham reasoned that if Isaac died, God was able to bring him back to life again. And in a sense, Abraham did receive his son back from the dead…” (Hebrews 11 NLT). “….I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27 KJV).

Abraham’s faith was activated, EMPOWERED, and influenced by the WORD of God. “…It was BY FAITH (the WORK of God’s Holy Spirit) that ABRAHAM OFFERED UP ISAAC … Abraham reasoned that if Isaac died, God was ABLE to bring him back to life again.…” (Hebrews 11 NLT). “… Is there any thing too hard for [God]?” (Jeremiah 32:27 KJV).

“…God hath dealt (GIVEN)… to every man THE measure of FAITH…” (Romans 12:3 NIV).  “…The fruit of the Spirit… is…FAITH…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). “…God has allotted to each a measure of faith…” (Romans 12:3 NASB). “[God’s] …Holy Spirit …is the SOURCE [of it ALL]…” (1 Corinthians 12: 4-11 NLT).

Hebrews 11 demonstrates how the Spirit of FAITH, when activated or influenced by the WORD -which is commanded by God and spoken by Jesus - empowers actions and activity in and through people:

BY FAITH these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions, quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight. Women received their loved ones back again from death….” (Hebrews 11:1-35 NLT).

“…In the beginning was the Word … (John 1:1-4 NASB). From the very beginning God commanded WORDS for Jesus to SPEAK and those WORDS caused the Holy Spirit to immediately WORK the command and spoken word of God, as demonstrated through the CREATION of the entire universe. “…In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth…” (Genesis 1:1 KJV).

“…In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being … (John 1:1-4 NASB).

“….Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. …God (commander) said (speaker), “Let there be light,” and there was light (doer)….God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” ^…God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day. God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. “…the invisible things (the WORK of his Holy Spirit) of him from the creation of the world are CLEARLY SEEN…” (Romans 1:20 KJV). Do you “SEE” the POWERFUL influence of God’s WORD today? “…in him (God’s POWERFUL WORD, Jesus) ALL THINGS hold together…” (Colossians 1:7 NIV). “… [God is] sustaining ALL THINGS by his powerful word…” (Hebrews 1:3 NIV).

God’s WORD will STAND forever!  “…My counsel (WORD)… SHALL stand, and I will do all my pleasure…” (Isaiah 46:10 KJV).

“…In the beginning was the Word (jesus), and the Word (jesus) was with God, and the Word (jesus) was God. He (the WORD, Jesus) was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him (the word, jesus), and apart from Him (the WORD, Jesus) nothing came into being that has come into being … (John 1:1-4 NASB). “…the invisible things (the WORK of his Holy Spirit) of him (his command and his spoken WORD) from the creation of the world are CLEARLY SEEN…” (Romans 1:20 KJV).

That SAME SPIRIT dwells in YOU and part of that SPIRIT is FAITH. “…if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your [human] bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you…” (Romans 8:11 NASB).“…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…the Lord is that Spirit…” (2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV).  “…Jesus Christ is in you…” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV). “…the Spirit of God dwell[s] in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV).  

That “SAME” SPIRIT that dwells in YOU “STILL” DOES the WORK that God commands and Jesus speaks. “The same God who does the work IN and THROUGH all of us who are his. The HOLY SPIRIT DISPLAYS God’s power THROUGH each of us … It is the same and only Holy Spirit who gives all these gifts and POWERS… (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT). “…It is God who works in you…” (Philippians 2:13 NIV). “…The God of peace, … that great Shepherd of the sheep, … work[s] in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…The God of peace … that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip[s] you with everything good for doing his will…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV).

“… [God] grant[s]… [true believers]… to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man…” (Ephesians 3:16 KJV). “…I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me…” (Philippians 4:13 KJV). SHOUT!!!

Thus the WORD confidently says “…FAITH (the indwelling Holy Spirit within you) is the substance (absolute guarantee) of the things hope for…” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV).

The Holy Spirit “DOES” without wavering, hesitating, or question WHATEVER God commands and Jesus speaks, EVEN through YOU. “…The God of peace … that great Shepherd of the sheep, … work[s] in us … through Jesus Christ…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…Jesus Christ is in you…” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV).

However, the indwelling faith of the Holy Spirit, ONLY comes or responds to the WORD, which is also God’s command!! “…faith cometh by hearing, and hearing … the word of God…” (Roman 10:17 KJV). “…I am the Lord, I change NOT…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).  ^“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13 :8 NIV).

Thus the WORD confidently says “…But the fruit of the [indwelling] Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). “…FAITH (the indwelling Holy Spirit within you) is the evidence (absolute guarantee) of things NOT seen…” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV)

This kind of faith is NOT human faith, but the GIFT of the indwelling SPIRIT of FAITH. “…I will put a NEW SPIRIT in you…” (Ezekiel 36:26 NLT). “… [One of]…the fruit of the [new] Spirit is… FAITH…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). “…God has given [you] HIS Spirit as PROOF that … he [dwells]…in [you]…” (1 John 4:13 NLT).  God “…[GAVE] to every man the measure of faith...” (Romans 12:3 KJV). “…IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD …” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “…God … SENT forth the Spirit of His Son “INTO” [Y]OUR… HEARTS…” (Galatians 4:6 NASB). “…The Holy Spirit gives birth to [every aspect of] SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT).  

You have the option to CHOOSE to rely and accept God’s gift of indwelling faith or NOT.

It is a gift from God, and it ONLY responds to the WORD! “…I will put a NEW SPIRIT in you…” (Ezekiel 36:26 NLT). “… [One of]…the fruit of the [new] Spirit is… FAITH…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). God “…[GAVE] to every man the measure of faith...” (Romans 12:3 KJV). “…IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD …” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “…faith cometh by hearing, and hearing … the word of God…” (Roman 10:17 KJV).

Rely on the indwelling Spirit of Faith instead of your OWN human faith. “…The righteous will live by his faith…” (Habakkuk 2:4 NASB). “…Apart from [HIS indwelling Holy Spirit of FAITH], you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).

 “…Christ liveth in [you]: and the life which [you] now live in the flesh [you] live by (via, through, by the use of, etc.) the faith of the Son of God.   …” (Galatians 2:20 KJV). Therefore, “…Walk in NEWNESS of life…” (Romans 6:4 KJV).

Relying on the indwelling Spirit of Faith is where miracles, signs, and wonders become manifested through you but by the WORK of the Holy Spirit. “….NO MAN can do these miracles that thou doest, EXCEPT GOD BE WITH HIM…” (John 3:2 KJV).“…God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and POWER, and how he went around doing good and healing all ….because God was with him…” (Acts 10:38 NIV). “…Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and POWER, performed great wonders and signs among the people…” (Acts 6:8 NIV).  “…God did extraordinary MIRACLES (power) through Paul…” (Acts 19:11 NIV). “…I persevered in demonstrating among you the marks of a true apostle, including signs, wonders and MIRACLES (power)…” (2 Corinthians 12:12 NIV).

 “…Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and GREATER WORKS than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father…” (John 14:1 KJV).

The STRUGGLE with FAITH is the struggle with any of God’s truth. Humble yourself and surrender to the truth about his indwelling Spirit of Faith. God does the work of faith. “…the Father that dwelleth in [YOU], he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). “…If My people which are called by My name shall humble themselves, …” (2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV). “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord…” (James 4:10 KJV). “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God…” (1 Peter 5:6 KJV). “… [HE that] dwelleth in [YOU], he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). ^“…That great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work “IN US” what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…It is God which worketh IN YOU both to will and to do of his good pleasure…” (Philippians 2:13 KJV).

It is the TRUTH about the indwelling Spirit of FAITH and the TRUTH will set you FREE. “… [One of]…the fruit of the [new] Spirit is… FAITH…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). “…God has given [you] HIS Spirit as PROOF that … he [dwells]…in [you]…” (1 John 4:13 NLT).  “…The righteous will live by his faith…” (Habakkuk 2:4 NASB). “…Christ liveth in [you SO]…live by (via, through, by the use of, etc.) the faith of the Son of God.   …” (Galatians 2:20 KJV).

The truth about your indwelling Spirit of faith will SET YOUR FAITH FREE!!! “…Faith cometh by hearing … by the word of God” (Roman 10:17 KJV). “…Thy word is truth” (JOHN 17:17 KJV). “…The truth shall MAKE YOU FREE…” (JOHN 8:32 KJV).
