BIBLE STUDY: HELPS YOU LEARN HOW GOD'S LOVE IS PATIENT AND KIND TOWARD YOU
LOVE IS PATIENT. LOVE IS KIND.
*
“…Love is patient, love is kind. It does
not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It
does not dishonor others, it is
not self-seeking, It
is not easily angered, It keeps no record
of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth. It always protects,
always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres, Love
never fails…” (1
Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).
*
SCRIPTURES: “…God is LOVE…” (1
John 4:4-8 KJV). “…God is [PATIENT AND KIND]…
LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…LOVE
IS PATIENT…LOVE IS KIND….” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).
PURPOSE OR GOAL OF LESSON: TO
LEARN AND RECOGNIZE THE PATIENT AND KIND LOVE GOD HAS TOWARD YOU EACH AND
EVERY DAY.
APPLICATION OF LESSON: TO RECOGNIZE GOD’S
PATIENCE AND KIND BEHAVIOR TOWARD YOU AND BEGIN TO APPLY IT TO YOURSELF AND
OTHERS!
TOPIC DISCUSSION: RECOGNIZING THE PATIENT AND
KIND LOVE OF GOD AS THE STANDARD FOR BECOMING LOVINGLY PATIENCE AND KIND
TOWARD YOURSELF AND OTHERS. God
proves his patience love when he WAITED
in the days of Noah. “… The patience
of God kept waiting in the days
of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight
persons, were brought safely through the water…” (1 Peter 3:20 NASB). “Which sometime were disobedient…the longsuffering
of God waited in the days of Noah…” (1 Peter 1:20 KJV). “Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness
and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God
leadeth thee to repentance?” (Romans 2:4 KJV). What was God waiting on
during the days of Noah? “… the longsuffering
of our Lord is salvation…”(2 Peter 3:15 KJV). God made an appeal to mankind
through Noah, who preached to them for 120 years, while building the ark, but
they refused to listen. “…But
my people would not listen to me.
They kept doing whatever they wanted, following
the stubborn desires of their evil hearts…” (Jeremiah 7:24 NLT). In the days
of Noah the wickedness of people was extremely rampant and GREAT.
God
destroyed the old world in a flood because of ongoing wickedness. God saw the
continual depravity of mankind’s heart and behaviors, but he patiently waited
(Genesis 6:6). God saw every imagination of the thoughts of mankind’s heart and
he clearly saw it was continually evil (Genesis 6:6). If you belong to him and
gave your life to him, but continue to be unfaithful; God is being
longsuffering towards you. “The Lord is… longsuffering
to us-ward…”(2 Peter 3:9 KJV). God
sees the“…hidden man of the heart…” (1 Peter 3:4 KJV). God knows the heart is deceitful “… above all things and desperately wicked…who can know it
[except God?]” (Jeremiah 17:9 KJV). “…Out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adulteries, fornications, thefts,
false witness, slanders…” (Matthew 15:19 NASB). God does not desire
for you to perish as a result of a lifestyle of sin and depravity, that is WHY
he GAVE his ONLY begotten Son. “Herein
is love, not that we loved
God, but that he
loved us and sent His Son...” (1 John 4:10 KJV). “For God so loved the
world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth
in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). God’s
PATIENT LOVE, through his indwelling Holy
Spirit, works “IN” you so that you can participant in his holiness. “…God who works in you to
will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose”
(Philippians 2:13 NIV). “…that [you] might be
partakers (participants) of his holiness….” (Hebrews 12:10 KJV). “…Now
may the God of peace, … that great Shepherd of the sheep …may he work in
…[you]… what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ” (Hebrews
13:20-21 NIV). In addition, “…God is … kind ... He is …kind to you if you continue to trust in
(depend upon) his kindness. But if you stop trusting (depending upon him), you
…will be cut off…” (Romans 11:22 NLT). “… You (God) have shown such great kindness…”
(Genesis 19:19 KJV). “… Thou art a God ready to pardon
(forgive ALL your sins), gracious (full of
Grace, the ULTIMATE kindness) and merciful (won’t give you the punishment you deserve),
slow to anger
(takes a LOT to get him mad), and of great kindness (GRACE)…” (Nehemiah 9:1 7 KJV). “… Blessed be the Lord:
for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness…”
(Psalms 31:21 KJV). “… For his merciful kindness is
great toward us…” (Psalms 117:2 KJV). “… The Lord is righteous in everything he
does; he is filled with kindness…” (Psalms 145:17 NLT). “… with everlasting kindness will
I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer…”
(Isaiah 54:8 KJV). “… my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall
the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord
that hath mercy on thee…” (Isaiah 54:10 KJV). God’s HOLY
KINDNESS, is gracious (always undeserved),
merciful (always unmerited), great,
marvelous, everlasting, rich, and readily extended toward those God LOVES. He
NEVER changes. “…I am the Lord, I change NOT…”
(Malachi 3:6 KJV). “Jesus Christ is the
same
yesterday and today and forever…”
(Hebrews 13:8 NIV). “… since
it is through God’s kindness … it is not by
[your]… good works. God’s grace
…[makes all his actions toward us]…—free and undeserved…” (Romans 11:6 NLT). God’s HOLY KINDNESS is expressed
through his benevolence
(compassionate goodness) toward his loves ones. “… [So when] Moses said, “Now show me your GLORY.” …The Lord said, “I will cause all my GOODNESS to pass in
front of you…” (Exodus 33:16-23
NIV). “…for the lord is GOOD (an expression
of heartfelt kindness)…” (Psalm
100:5 KJV). “Thou are GOOD and
doest
GOOD…”
(Psalm 119:68 KJV). “…Oh how great is thy
GOODNESS…”
(Psalm 31:19 KJV). “…for he is GOOD…”
(Psalm 107:1 KJV). “..The lord is GOOD…” (Nahum 1:7 KJV). “…GOOD and upright is the Lord…” (Psalm 25:8
KJV). “…For thou, Lord, is GOOD…”
(Psalm 86:5 KJV). “……the riches of his GOODNESS….” (Romans 2:4 KJV).“…Surely GOODNESS
and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life…” (Psalms 23 KJV). “…God’s GRACE (an action of goodness)—his undeserved kindness in choosing them…”
(Romans 11:5 KJV). “God has chosen you
from the beginning for salvation…” (2 Thessalonians 2:13 NASB). "…You
did not choose me but I chose you….” (John 15:16 ASV). “…he
FIRST loved us…” (1
John 4:19 ASV). “… since it is through God’s kindness,
then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is—free and undeserved…” (Romans
11:6 NLT). “… He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom
with the blood of his Son and forgave our
sins…” (Ephesians 1:7 NLT). “…BY GRACE have ye been saved THROUGH FAITH…” (Ephesians 2:8-9
ASV). “…There
is SALVATION IN NO ONE ELSE…” (Acts 4:12a NLT). “… In
his kindness God called you to share in his eternal
glory by means of Christ Jesus…” (1 Peter 5:10 NLT). “…The GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus
Christ ….” (Romans 6:23 KJV).
“…Jesus said… I am the
LIFE (eternal life)…..” (John 11:25 KJV). "…Then they will go away … the righteous to eternal life…" (Matthew 25:46 NIV). "…
The righteous [will inherit] eternal life…" (Matthew 25:46 NIV). “…[Jesus
Christ]… became author of eternal salvation…”
(Hebrew 5:7-8-9 KJV). “…He has showered his kindness on us, along with
all wisdom and understanding…” (Ephesians 1:8 NLT). “… In the ages to come he might shew the exceeding
riches of his grace in his kindness
toward us through Christ Jesus…” (Ephesians 2:7 KJV). “…BY GRACE (ULTIMATE, undeserved
kindness) … [you are] …saved …”
(Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “…We …
[depend upon]… the GRACE
(the ULTIMATE kindness) of the Lord Jesus Christ [and]… we shall be SAVED…” (Acts
15:11 KJV).
LOVE
IS PATIENT
1.
Why was God called the God of Patience during the days of Noah?” he waited
patiently for the people to turn from their wicked ways.“… The patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark,
in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water…”
(1 Peter 3:20 NASB). “Which sometime were
disobedient…the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah…” (1
Peter 1:20 KJV). Why was God waiting so PATIENTLY for the wicked people? He wanted to “SAVE” them from the coming destruction. “… the longsuffering of our Lord is
salvation…”(2 Peter 3:15 KJV). Often we think God takes TOO
LONG, but why was God willing to be so PATIENT with such wicked people? Giving them an opportunity, through his goodness, to
choose to repent. Or
despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering;
not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?”
(Romans 2:4 KJV). If a LOVED ONE, whether spouse, child, parent,
or other, was a wicked person in a certain area and their wicked behavior got
so bad you had to part company with them. Yet their wickedness kept going on
and on. Would you move on and give up on them or would you continue to HOPE in
their eventual salvation? Why or Why not? DISCUSS.

2.
Does the God
of Patience appeal to man to REPENT? YES. What
is the problem with wicked people? They don’t listen to god’s appeals. “…But my people would not listen to me. They kept doing whatever
they wanted, following the stubborn
desires of their evil hearts…” (Jeremiah 7:24 NLT). “…the people replied, “Don’t
waste your breath. We will continue
to live as we want to, stubbornly following our own evil desires”
(JEREMIAH 18:12 NLT). Does the God of
Patience want the wicked to perish? NO, he does not.
God “….is longsuffering to us-ward, NOT WILLING that
any should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance…” (2
Peter 3:9 KJV). “… the longsuffering
of our Lord IS
SALVATION…”(2 Peter 3:15 KJV). What does the God of Patience know will happen to the
wicked if they do not listen to him? THAT THEY WILL SURELY PERISH. “…EXCEPT YE REPENT, ye shall all likewise PERISH…”
(Luke 13:3 KJV). “The Lord is… longsuffering to us-ward…”(2
Peter 3:9 KJV).
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
3.
What had the God of Patience SAID was going to HAPPEN? That he was
going to FLOOD the earth. “…So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people … …. I am GOING TO bring floodwaters on the earth
to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of
life in it. Everything on earth will perish. …”
(Genesis 6:9-22 NIV). What happen to the people in Genesis who
did NOT listen to God or benefit from his PATIENT LOVE? They were wiped
away with the flood. “…The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the
earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only
evil all the time. The Lord regretted that he had made
human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have
created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along
the ground—for I regret that I have made them… I will send rain on the earth for forty
days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature
I have made…”
(Genesis
6:5-6, 7:6 NIV). Did the God of Patience want the people, in the days of Noah, to perish? NO.
God “….is … NOT WILLING that any should perish, but that ALL
should come to repentance…” (2 Peter 3:9 KJV).
4.
“… If my people,
which are called by my name, shall … turn from their wicked ways…I WILL HEAL….” (2 CHRONICLES 7:14 NASB).. “… Turn now
everyone from his evil way and from the evil of your deeds…” (Jeremiah 25:5 NASB). “… The LORD warned Israel (HIS PEOPLE) …
through all His prophets and every seer, saying, "Turn from your evil ways..." (2 Kings 17:13
NASB).“… Wash yourselves, make yourselves
clean; Remove
the evil of your deeds from My sight. Cease to do evil…”
(Isaiah 1:16 NASB).“… Let the wicked
forsake his way And the unrighteous man
his thoughts; And
let him return to the LORD, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon … “(Isaiah 55:7 NASB).
5.
In the
Old Testament, God’s people TURNED away from God through abandonment. “…They ABANDONED ME
and did not obey my word….” (JEREMIAH 16:11 NLT). “…They ABANDONED the Lord… they
turned their backs on him….” (2 Chronicles 29:6 NLT).
“… my people have ABANDONED
MY INSTRUCTIONS; they
have refused to obey what I said….”
(JEREMIAH 9:13 NLT). How long did the God of Patience appeal to the wicked in the days of Noah? 120
years. “…My spirit shall not always
strive with man …his days shall be an hundred and twenty years…”
(Genesis 6:3 KJV). ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
6.
What do the wicked think, about the God of patience appeals, when what he
says doesn’t happen right away? They think they
are getting away with their wickedness. “…Because
sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily (God’s PATIENCE) …the
HEART of the sons of men is fully set in them [unrepentant]… to do evil….”
(Ecclesiastes 8:11 KJV). What does the God
of Patience SAY will happen to the wicked? THEY WILL BE CONDEMNED. “.... evildoers shall
be CUT OFF…" (Psalm 37:1-11 KJV). “…He that believeth on him is not condemned:
but HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, because HE HATH NOT BELIEVED in the name of
the only begotten Son of God…”
(John 3:18-20 KJV). Is the CHOICE to be condemned the God of Patience’s or the wicked? IT IS THE CHOICE
OF THE WICKED. “…Your wickedness will bring its own punishment…”
(JEREMIAH 2:19 NLT). “…The wicked, THROUGH THE PRIDE of his countenance,
WILL NOT SEEK
AFTER GOD: God is not in all his thoughts…”
(Psalms 10:4 KJV). NASB). “… I have set before you LIFE and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose LIFE…” (Deuteronomy
30:19 KJV). “…Choose you this day whom ye will serve….”
(Joshua 24:15 KJV). “…The
highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who CHOOSE that way. …” (Matthew 7:13-14 NLT).
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
7.
Is the God
of Patience more concerned with your DEEDS or the condition of your HEART? your heart. god
sees the“…hidden man of the heart…” (1 Peter 3:4 KJV). “...God sees
not as man sees, for man looks at the
outward appearance, but the LORD looks at THE HEART…”(1 Samuel 16:7
NASB). “…[The heart is deceitful]…. above all things and
desperately wicked…who can know it [except God?]” (Jeremiah 17:9 KJV). “…Out
of the heart come evil thoughts,
murder, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders…”
(Matthew 15:19 NASB). What does the God
of Patience desire for you? TO BE HOLY.
“…that
[you] might be partakers (participants) of his holiness….”
(Hebrews 12:10 KJV).Will the God of Patience HELP you to become HOLY?
Yes.
Explain. God’s holy spirit WORKS in you to
EMPOWER you to become HOLY. “…God who
works in you to will and
to act in order to fulfill his good purpose” (Philippians 2:13
NIV). “…Now may the God of peace, …
that great Shepherd of the sheep …may he work in …[you]… what is
pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV).
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
8. How does the God of Patience HELP your HEART condition? God
gives you a new and clean heart. “…Have mercy upon me, O God …and CLEANSE ME FROM “MY SIN” …” (Psalms 51:1-4
KJV). “….God, which knoweth the hearts…”
has to “Create in [you]… a clean heart…”
like King David (Psalms 51:10 KJV). God has to, “…GIVE you a new heart, and …put a new spirit in you. [He]…will
take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart…”
(Ezekiel 36:26 NLT). “Therefore if any
man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away;
behold, ALL
THINGS are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “… [Therefore]… we all … are changed into the same image [of
Christ] from glory to glory …” (2 Corinthians 3:18 KJV). “…by the GRACE of God I am what I am…” (1
Corinthians 15:10 NIV). In order for the God
of Patience to begin HELPING your HEART condition; what do you need to do? REPENT or turn to god. God
“….is longsuffering to us-ward, NOT WILLING that
any should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance…” (2 Peter 3:9 KJV). “…EXCEPT YE REPENT, ye shall all likewise PERISH…”
(Luke 13:3 KJV). “…When they heard these
things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God
also to the Gentiles granted REPENTANCE UNTO LIFE…” (Acts 11:18
KJV). “…Testifying both to the Jews, and
also to the Greeks, REPENTANCE TOWARD GOD, and FAITH TOWARD our Lord Jesus Christ. …” (Acts 20:21 KJV).
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
9.
Why don’t God’s OWN people REPENT and turn to their
God of Patience? they refuse to listen to him. “…my
people would not listen to me. They kept doing whatever they wanted,
following the stubborn desires of their evil hearts…” (Jeremiah 7:24 NLT). What happened in the Old Testament
when the people REFUSED to REPENT? THEY PERISHED.“…The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the
earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only
evil all the time.
What will happen TODAY,
according to the New Testament if people REFUSE to REPENT of their SINS? THEY
WILL ALSO PERISH. “…But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers,
and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the
second death…” (Revelation 21:8 KJV). “…
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire,
prepared for the devil and his angels…” (Matthew 25:41 KJV). “…And
these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal…”
(Matthew 25:46 KJV). “…For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord…” (Romans 6:23 KJV). “…And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire…”
(Revelation 20:15 KJV). “… they that have done
evil, unto the resurrection of damnation…”
(John 5:29 KJV).
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
10. What
did the God of Patience do for you to
PREVENT you from PERISHING? He sent his son. “…God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever
believeth in him, SHOULD NOT PERISH, but have everlasting life”
(John 3:16 KJV). “Or despisest thou the
riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing
that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?” (Romans 2:4
KJV)."…Therefore REPENT AND RETURN,
“SO” that your sins may be wiped away…” (Acts 3:19 NASB). “….[God is]…not
willing that any should perish, but that all should come to
repentance” (2 Peter 3:9 KJV).
“…Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the
truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me…” (John 14:6
KJV).
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
11. Why is
God called the God of Patience? BECAUSE HE
PATIENTLY WAITS FOR NON-BELIEVERS AND HIS OWN PEOPLE TO COME TO HIM. “YOU WILL not come…”
(John 5:40 KJV). “… The Lord must wait for YOU to come to him so he can show you his love
…For the Lord is a faithful God…” (Isaiah
30:18 NLT). Who is the “YOU” in this verse? “…Choose you this day whom ye will serve….” (Joshua 24:15 KJV). Why does
God WAIT? HE DOES WANT “YOU” TO PERISH. God “….is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all
should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9 KJV). “…The
Lord, The Lord God,
[IS] merciful and gracious, longsuffering (PATIENCE), and abundant in
goodness and truth…” (Exodus 34:6 KJV). “The Lord is longsuffering, and of
great mercy…” (Number 14:18 KJV). “The Lord is not slack …but is longsuffering
to us-ward…” (2 Peter 3:9 KJV).
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
12. Does
God WAIT for his OWN people who have actually ABANDONED him? YES, HE EVEN WAITS FOR THEM. “…They kept doing whatever they
wanted, following the stubborn desires
of their evil hearts…” (Jeremiah 7:24 NLT). “… [YOU]… FORGOT
all about ME,” says the Lord…” (Hosea 2:13 NLT). “… when you had eaten and were satisfied, you
became proud and FORGOT ME….” (Hosea
13:6 NLT). “…Does a young woman forget
her jewelry, or a bride her wedding dress? Yet for years on end my people
have FORGOTten ME…”
(Jeremiah 2:32 NLT).“…They ABANDONED ME and did
not obey my word….”
(JEREMIAH 16:11 NLT). “…They ABANDONED the Lord… they
turned their backs on him….” (2 Chronicles 29:6 NLT).“…The Lord
replies, “This has happened because my people have ABANDONED MY INSTRUCTIONS; they have refused to obey what I said….”
(JEREMIAH 9:13 NLT).
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
What is the danger of God’s OWN people
ABANDONING him? IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO BRING THEM BACK TO REPENTANCE. “…It is impossible for those who have once been
enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy
Spirit, who
have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age
and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To
their loss they are crucifying the Son
of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace…” (Hebrews 6:4-6 NIV). Is it IMPOSSIBLE for the God of Patience to bring them back to repentance? NOTHING
IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD. “…the things which are impossible with men are
… POSSIBLE …
[WITH GOD] …” (Luke 18:27 KJV).
“…I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing
too hard for me?”
(Jeremiah 32:27 KJV).
What can the God of Patience do if they CHOOSE to repent BEFORE it’s TOO LATE? HEAL
THEIR APOSTASY, SHOW THEM MERCY. SHOW THEM LOVE. SHOW THEM HIS GOODNESS AND KINDNESS
THROUGH HIS GRACE. “…I WILL heal their apostasy, I will love them freely, For My anger has turned away from them.…”
(Hosea 14:4 KJV). His “…Mercy triumphs over judgement.” (James 2:13 NASB). His
“…love covereth a multitude of sins…”
(Proverbs 10:12, 1 Peter 4:8 ASV). “…Great is his love toward us …Praise the
LORD” (Psalms 117:2 KJV). “…love …keeps NO RECORD of wrongs. …” (1
Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV). “…Where sin increased, [My]...grace abounded all the more…” (Romans
5:20 NASB). God’s “…grace is sufficient for you…” (2 Corinthians
12:9 NASB). “…the
faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD”
(Psalms 117:2 KJV). “…Jesus Christ is the same
… forever…”
(Hebrews 13:8 NIV). ).“…he remains faithful…” (2
Timothy 2:13 NLT). “…If
we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to FORGIVE us our sins, and to
cleanse us from all unrighteousness…” (1 John 1:9 KJV). “…For I will … remember their sins NO MORE…" (Hebrews
8:12 NIV). “…The lord is GOOD…”
(Psalm 100:5 KJV). “…Oh
how great is thy GOODNESS…
(Psalm 31:19 KJV). GOD’S
LOVE IS KIND!“The Lord,
the Lord
God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness
and truth…” (Exodus 34:5-6 NASB). “… [It is]… through God’s kindness … not
by [your]… good works. … God’s GRACE
… is—free and
undeserved…” (Romans 11:5 NLT).“… You (God) have shown such great kindness…”
(Genesis 19:19 KJV).
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
LOVE
IS KIND
13. If you
have done abominable SINS and committed UNSPEAKABLE offenses against the God of Kindness, how will he RESPOND? “… Thou
art a God ready
to pardon (forgive ALL your sins), gracious
(full of Grace) and merciful (won’t give you the punishment your deserve),
slow to anger
(takes a LOT to get him mad), and of great kindness…”
(Nehemiah 9:1 7 KJV). “… Blessed be the Lord: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness…”
(Psalms 31:21 KJV). “… For his merciful kindness is great toward us…”
(Psalms 117:2 KJV). “… The Lord is righteous in everything he does; he is filled
with kindness…”
(Psalms 145:17 NLT). “… with everlasting kindness
will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy
Redeemer…” (Isaiah 54:8 KJV). “… my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall
the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord
that hath mercy on thee…” (Isaiah 54:10 KJV). Will the God of
Kindness ever change his attitude toward you? NO, HE “NEVER”
CHANGES!
“…I am the Lord, I change NOT…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV). “Jesus Christ is the
same
yesterday and today and forever…”
(Hebrews 13:8 NIV). Do you ever have to EARN, BEG, GRAVEL, or
WORK for God’s KINDNESS? NO, IT IS FREE. IT IS AN ACT OF HIS GRACE.“… since it is through God’s kindness … it is not by [your]… good works. God’s grace …[makes all his actions
toward us]…—free and undeserved…”
(Romans 11:6 NLT).
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
14. Why
is he the God of Kindness ? because he is a
good god “…
[So
when] Moses said, “Now show me your
GLORY.” …The Lord said, “I will cause all my GOODNESS to pass in
front of you…” (Exodus 33:16-23
NIV). “…for the lord is GOOD (an expression
of kindness)…” (Psalm 100:5 KJV).
“Thou are GOOD and doest GOOD…” (Psalm 119:68 KJV). “…Oh how great is thy GOODNESS…” (Psalm 31:19 KJV). “…for he is GOOD…” (Psalm 107:1 KJV). “..The
lord is GOOD…”
(Nahum 1:7 KJV). “…GOOD and upright is the Lord…” (Psalm 25:8 KJV). “…For thou, Lord, is GOOD…” (Psalm 86:5 KJV). “……the riches
of his GOODNESS….”
(Romans 2:4 KJV).“…Surely
GOODNESS and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life…” (Psalms 23 KJV). According to the
following scriptures how has the God of
Kindness showN GOODNESS to you? HE CHOSE ME. HE
CHOSE ME FOR SALVATION. HE LOVED ME FIRST. HE EXTENDED GRACE TO ME BY FORGIVING
MY SINS AND PURCHASING MY FREEDOM FROM SIN THROUGH JESUS CHRIST.
"…You did not choose me but I chose you….” (John 15:16 ASV). “…God’s
grace (an action of goodness)—his undeserved kindness in
choosing them…” (Romans 11:5 KJV). “… God has chosen
you from the beginning for salvation…” (2 Thessalonians 2:13
NASB). “Thou are GOOD and
doest
GOOD…”
(Psalm 119:68 KJV). “…he FIRST loved us…” (1 John 4:19 ASV). “Thou are GOOD and doest GOOD…” (Psalm 119:68 KJV). “… since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in
that case, God’s grace would not be
